Sisters Network Greater Metropolitan Chapter was established on August 7, 2001. Cassandra Woods was our Founding President and Dr. Lisa Newman was the catalyst for the formation of our group. She sponsored a few members to attend a National Conference in Houston, Texas. There, they learned about the purpose, the mission, the slogan and outreach programs of the Organization. The members were impressed and decided that an affiliate chapter should be started in Detroit. We currently have an active membership of over 50 members.
